Inspired by her own senior dog and companion of 13 years, Jane, and the Rudyard Kipling poem from which the exhibition takes its name, Emma O’Brien’s “The Power of the Dog” photography exhibition is now on display at the Foto Za Gallery in Rosebank Mall, Johannesburg, and will be up throughout April 2023.
The exhibition features a collection of senior dog portraits, all over the age of seven years and all photographed specifically for the show by the very talented Emma. You’ll see dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds and mixes in their majestic, frosty-faced glory.
Admission is free and the gallery is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm on Saturday. It’s closed on Sundays and public holidays, with the exception of Sunday the 16th of April, 9am to 1pm, and Sunday the 23rd of April, 9am to 1pm. Happily, the gallery is also dog-friendly!
